I was travelling on May 2nd from Cairo to Dubai through Emirates airlines (flight EK 926), transit in Dubai, and from Dubai to Kathmandu (flight EK 2355) on Flydubai. First of all, the Flydubai’s plane did not take off on its scheduled time. We were kept waiting in the plane for like an hour before it took off. This was enough time for all the baggage from the first flight (Emirates) to be boarded on the second flight (Flydubai). Yet, I received a message when I arrived in Kathmandu that my baggage (EK 191633) could not be loaded. Instead of giving me a specific time when my bag will arrive and instead of giving me detailed information of what went wrong, you told me in the message that I should “contact flydubai staff” at my arrival airport, who was not anywhere visible! I had to contact the baggage troubles desk or whatever its name is, whose staff contacted you. I was told the bag is going to arrive on the next flight which lands at around 6 pm Kathmandu time, and that it was going to be delivered to my hotel which I gave its address and contact information and everything. The bag was not delivered to my hotel, and on calling your office at Kathmandu, the officer told md that the computer system is down so he cannot check whether my bag arrived or not!
I had to personally go back to the airport at after 9 pm to look for the bag and bring my bag by myself, which I found on the floor.
So your officer could not check by himself that the bag has arrived, call me, reassure me that everything is alright, even schedule a delivery date to my hotel?!?!
Does your system know very well how to deliver a “we regret to inform you that your baggage could not be loaded on our flight” but cannot send another message with the updates of the situation?!?!
Do you understand how this affects a backpacker like myself who has a specific itinerary based on the fact that he has everything in his bag?!?! And who would change all scheduled plans for fear that his bag may not be delivered in time due to unprofessionalism from your side?!?!
How am I supposed to trust your airlines in future travels?!?! This was my first time dealing with you, and can very well be the last!
