FlyDubai – Lack of service and benefits of gold status

Dear FlyDubai OPEN team,

RE: Business Lounge at Dubai International’s Terminal 2

I am a Gold status member and am not impressed with my Gold benefits and your staff ground staff’s attitude.

This morning, traveling economy with my daughters, 6 and 11 years old, from Dubai to Tbilisi, I was given access to the lounge at terminal 2 as required, but my children were refused entry and access to the FlyDubai business lounge. Actually, as per your staff’s suggestion … “they can wait outside” !

Firstly, I should be able to invite someone to the lounge, specially my children traveling with me. Normally other airlines, do extend such a privilege to frequent flyers, members of the airline highest category;

Secondly, its a total lack to courtesy and comprehension of a responsible person (a parent) to suggest to leave a 6 and 11 years old child outside while the adult is enjoying the comfort of a lounge; and

Finally, your staff did lack compassion and had a total disregard for my children safety by suggesting to leave them outside.

its more surprising the FlyDubai as an offshoot or a sister company or a code sharing company with Emirates, to have such a cold and insensitive attitude.

Am deeply disappointed but this seems to be the attitude cheep airlines, not a low-cost carrier.
