Fortis Hospital Mulund
In response to my email dated January 3, 2026, Fortis Hospital sent a message to my brother, either a WhatsApp message or a phone message, and forwarded the message, which says as follows:
“ DEAR BHUPENDRA DEVSHI KHONA, YOUR REFUND REQUEST FOR UID 14267934, EPISODE NO11432/26/1115 OF AMOUNT 110468.00 HAS BEEN APPROVED. THE REFUND WOULD BE PROCESSED WITHIN 4 – 7 WORKING DAYS. HOSPITAL: FORTIS HOSPITAL, MULUND, MUMBAI – FORTIS HEALTHCARE”
No explanation of why a partial refund was approved. It is just an unprofessional response. I need to know why only a partial refund was approved. Whether doctor Vipin Dhahne incurred any expenses that accounted for almost half of the charges originally charged on December 13, 2025. If he did, I need a breakdown of the charges to be fair. And if he bought an implant or any other item, such as a crown, I would like to take possession of it. I am back in the USA and going through a hard time getting my well-earned money. As a large hospital organization with branches across India, I am truly appalled to see such a practice being allowed. I personally met Ms. Tito Matthew, the head of billing at Fortis Mulund Hospital, and she was extremely cordial. In front of my sister-in-law, she directed her staff, Mr. Swapnil Pawar, to process the refund. I am totally surprised by how things are communicated and coordinated at Fortis.
