I had a terrible experience with Holiday Island Tours & Travels LLC. On 28 March 2025, they called me claiming I had won their raffle and invited me, along with my wife, to their event at Al Ghurair Centre to collect my gift.
When we arrived, instead of giving the gift, they started asking about our travel history and began promoting their expensive travel packages. They said we could simply take the gift and leave if we weren’t interested – but that was not the case.
Once they finished explaining, I politely declined their offers. That’s when the manipulation and pressure began. They kept pushing their packages costing 8,000–9,000 AED, trying to convince and even guilt us into buying. It was extremely uncomfortable and felt deceptive from the start.
This is a scam tactic – lure people with a fake raffle prize, then trap them in a high-pressure sales pitch. They wasted our time, made us feel uncomfortable, and never truly intended to give the gift without a fight.
Unfortunately, I paid AED 1,500 as an advance. Once they Receive the money they start to play wisely. I am running behind them since last 7 months. But nothing happened.
Avoid this company at all costs and do not fall for their “you’ve won a prize” calls.
