I have been a customer of Indian Overseas Bank’s Vasundhara Enclave, Delhi branch for a number of years, and my account number is XXXX609. This account is shared by my late mother, Mrs. Shashi Nair.

I filed a form on December 22, 2023, designating her as deceased in the savings account and transferring the fixed deposit in her name to a nominated registered representative.

Along with the necessary documentation, I have also filed forms to update my account’s mobile number and email address with my current contact information.

I was told that the update would be completed in 5-7 business days after I turned in all of the self-attested copies of the supporting documents to the branch on the same day.

I haven’t received any updates or correspondence from the bank about this in almost a month. Since I don’t live close to the branch, it would be difficult for me to visit it just to get an update on the procedure.

I checked with Indian Overseas Bank’s official customer service, and they informed me that neither the customer executive nor the shared landline number on the official website is operational.

Please investigate and provide us an update.
