Dear Team,
The flight I booked 6E 3174 to travel from Hyderabad to Chennai was supposed to be departing at 6.40 PM and arrive at 7.50 PM (on 16th Nov) as per the schedule. I have another international flight (Air Asia Chennai to Melbourne via Kuala Lumpur) at 11.30 PM IST to catch. I received an SMS that the flight got delayed and starting at 7.10 PM. I reached the Indigo counter by 5.45 PM and explained about my situation (international flight). The Indigo representatives redirected me to each other between themselves and wasted my precious time. Meantime I received another message that the flight got delayed again and the schedule was pushed to 7.40 PM. I was concerned and raised the issue with the duty manager in Hyderabad. She spoke to air Asia manager there and mentioned that someone from indigo will escort me as soon as I land in Chennai. I again received another message that there was further delay I.e., 8.30 PM departure. She called the air Asia manager and he advised me to do a web check-in and he can stop the gates for 10 minutes before closing. I was promised by Indigo that there won’t be further delays and I will surely be able to catch the air Asia flight in Chennai. They made me take the boarding pass and complete the rest of the formalities. The flight only departed from Hyderabad at 9.30 PM instead of 8.30 and arrived Chennai only at 11.15 PM. Air Asia told me they can’t wait and the plane took off. Indigo could have put me into 6.10 flight which they didn’t do. They should have advised me to go with SpiceJet which didn’t happen as well. I was pushed to get the boarding pass and the flight never started on time. After I reached Chennai, there wasn’t anyone to escort me. I was asked to move out of the airport to talk to airport reservation counter people. They were unresponsive. I am spending hours sitting outside the airport waiting for some help. Finally, at 4 AM the duty manager Arjun K (Mob: +919318353581) turned up and he said he will have someone talk to Air Asia. This morning Air Asia mentioned that I have to pay the full amount -32053 rs. Arjun K advised me to drop a note to you Team for the refund purposes. But, when I dropped an email to the Indigo, I received a response that airlines is not responsible for the refund of the ticket fare, and they rejected my request. I request you to please help me in this case.
