I purchased an Acer Swift Go laptop from a dealer named Computer House, Dhanbad. Later I found out the dealer had purchased the laptop from Flipkart with Jeeves Extended Warranty and resold it to me.
After 1 year and 1 month, the laptop stopped working. Jeeves’ technician diagnosed that the soldered RAM on the motherboard is faulty, and approved a refund since the motherboard replacement is not cost-effective.
Since August, I have been stuck in a loop due to Jeeves’ processes:
Detailed Timeline
19 August: Jeeves approved refund. They asked me to submit bank details through the dealer.
I submitted my own bank details, but after 3 weeks they said they only accept the dealer’s bank account.
Mid-September: They asked me to upload dealer’s bank details through their chatbot.
Chatbot kept failing.
OTP verification required the dealer each time.
Caused 1–1.5 months of delay.
Dealer got frustrated and stopped cooperating.
I managed to update dealer’s email to my email ID, but phone number could not be changed.
27 September: Jeeves asked me to upload bank details via email. I sent dealer’s bank details.
After 2 weeks, Jeeves said the refund bounced and asked for a different bank account.
Dealer no longer cooperating, so I informed Jeeves and submitted my own bank details on the same date (27 Sept).
13 November: After another 2 weeks, Jeeves claims the refund team has “doubt” because:
Email ID was updated 1.5 months ago
Bank details were sent from the updated email
Jeeves is now giving me only two options:
Provide a different bank account of the dealer
Provide my bank account but from the old dealer’s email ID
Both options are impossible, because Computer House is no longer cooperating / practically unavailable.
