Hi,

I had booked my return journey from Bangalore to Hyderabad via Jet airways flight 9W- 857 PNR: PPNHDR on 07.04.2017 . The booking was done on 05.04.2017 and everything was confirmed.

When I reached Bangalore airport on 07.04.2017 and reached the counter at 09:10 pm to collect boarding pass ( Flight Timing 10:35pm) the executive over there says ‘ Sir, sorry , we have over booked the flight and no seats are left’ . I was completely shocked to listen to that statement made by airlines. How can some one over book flight?? It was very important for me to be in Hyderabad.

Later, when a manager came , I explained him regarding the situation and after requesting him, they booked me and other passenger , who was denied ticket with citing the same reason , on Indigo Flight.

But, how can airlines over book the flight and why do we have to request the airline , after we have booked the ticket well in advance and also reported to the airport well in advance.

I was totally disturbed by this .
