I arrived at Terminal 2, Dubai at 14:30 and was told my Baghdad flight FZ211 was delayed from 17:00 to 22:00 and I was to check in and go through to the waiting area, so I did.
At about 21:00 I noticed that the flight board showed FZ211 departing at 05:00. I did not hear any warnings on the PA about my flight change and no Flydubai staff had been visible in the Gate 6 area.
I went looking and the only Flydubai staff I could find were in the Flydubai Business Lounge. I asked for a hotel as the flight was delayed longer than 8 hours. I was told by the staff in the Business Lounge that their Supervisor said that “all hotels in Dubai were booked”! I found this totally unbelievable and complained!
The Business Lounge staff refused to give me the Supervisors Name who said that ‘all Dubai Hotel were booked’.
They finally offered me the Marhaba Lounge but only when I demanded to be off-load and take another airline.
At 5:00 from Gate 06 we were loaded onto the PAX bus and waited for 30 minutes. It was very cold on the bus and the Aircon was on full. Several people complained. Flydubai gate staff refused to allow us to stand outside the bus where it was warmer.
Eventually a Flydubai person (British by the sound of him) arrived and said that the PAX from the hotel were late and had not even left the hotel yet and that flight FZ211 was delayed to 8:00.
I was very upset to hear that some passengers on FZ211 were provided with a hotel but I was not!
It was now 06:10 and the Marhaba Lounge staff refused to allow me to re-enter the lounge as my time had expired.
At this point I gave up with Flydubai! They have lost me as a customer.
