GoAir – Ticket Cancellation

My name is Devam Sheth and my PNR is L9GJVW. I booked my GoAir flight tickets from Bombay to Maldives and return to Bombay from Ixigo. PFA the ticket document. The journey was scheduled for 5th December 2020 from Bombay to MALE and return journey on 9th December 2020 from MALE to Bombay.
I did my web check-in on 3rd December and bought my desired seats for both the journeys. My journey from Bombay to MALE was smooth and hassle free. The problem began when I reached MALE airport for my return journey. Upon showing my ticket to the airport authorities, I was told that the ticket against the above mentioned PNR has been cancelled. Let it be noted here that the ticket was not cancelled from my end. I was also informed that there was only one flight flying from MALE to Bombay in the entire day and so it was my only option out. I contacted IXIGO and told them about the problem. They informed that they had not cancelled the ticket from their end and it was showing in their system that the journey was scheduled as per the original PNR. Even in my phone’s IXIGO app the tickets weren’t showing as cancelled and journey was being shown as scheduled as per the tickets. However, the airport authority as well as the GoAir authority present at the airport told me that the tickets were cancelled. They also told us that a refund has been initiated for the cancelled tickets. I never cancelled the tickets. I was asked to pay USD 327.00 for booking new tickets. After hours of deliberation and mental stress, I had no option but to oblige since it was my only way out at the time. PFA the tax invoice of the payment made on 9th December at MALE airport. I did receive a mail (attached) from GoAir on 7th December about refund initiation but there was no mention about what the refund was about. I was in Maldives at the time and was without any internet access to receive the mail in the first place.
Also note that the tickets booked at the MALE airport were against the same PNR that I was given originally. I don’t know how the same PNR was assigned for a fresh set of tickets. Only the seats assigned were changed and additional cost had been incurred.
I request you to kindly look into the matter on Urgent basis and refund me the money I had to pay at MALE airport along with compensation. I hope I won’t have to escalate this matter to the higher authorities of DGCA. Please revert if any information or detail is needed from my end.
