Due to willful neglect of not reading emails correctly but only responded with ready to copy & paste responses from UCW, my aim to study in Jan 2023 did not happen thus, kindly help in refunding the deposit I paid to them of USD 3,000. I’d been trying to get my revised LOA from a request in May 2022 for Jan 2023 intake but unfortunately, Mr. Sahib of UCW Recruitment staff was not able to provide the LOA but responding with a different request from several exchanges of emails till he found out in Nov 2022 only that I need to submit English proficiency certificate. The requirement originally without IELTS for Filipinos that’s why I was encouraged to apply to immediately receive an LOA and apply for study permit. Some changes happened in my situation in Dubai to delay my intake but whenever I needed a revised LOA, it was being provided on time. It was that much leniency during pandemic times and I was even informed that I can request for a revised LOA if I need so. I had the same situation as currently, I have been working in Dubai and given proof that English has been the main communication in my workplace and provided the same certificate letter that I was given LOA but now, they said it’s not acceptable. With those experiences happened with them of not knowing exactly what’s the requirement and being exhausted and disappointed as to the right information to receive, I am totally give up to deal with them and I am not happy to continue my study in UCW. Thus, please help to resolve this matter the soonest.
This was the story in this last email I sent on Feb 2, 2023 after several rejections to provide LOA: This has been so disappointing that I’ve been getting strict requirement from you about the English proficiency when in fact I got that much leniency during pandemic times. I was given the chance to change twice my intake in view of my situation in Dubai that I had no choice but to delay my study. I had requested only from Sahib then it’s done.To be honest, I was encouraged to apply in UCW because IELTS is not mandatory with scholarship for Filipinos. I was asked only to submit a letter that English was the main language in the workplace and that English was the medium of instruction in college. Now, I have the same situation where I am still working in Dubai and yet I am being rejected to get LOA when in fact you took already my initial deposit as a proof that i was accepted by the university.Thus, where is the justification of this new regulation? My deposit is getting stuck and I could not really proceed to move forward. I believe there should be an exception to the rule. Had I known with this requirement, I would not try to apply for study in UCW. I am not happy at all dealing with you wasting that much time for over a year of communicating back and forth with you and this is what I will get. I don’t understand what was the difference before during pandemic with the same location/situation today that we are getting recovered from pandemic. Please try to reconsider as I have been patient with you or I have no option but to raise this matter to consumer rights.
