We purchased six tickets from Sastasafar/Tripodeal via Booking # SSF00763096 for travel on June 30, 23 from Srinagar to Delhi, for a total cost of INR 36705.
Less than 24 hours prior, we received notification that the flight had been cancelled and that we would need to book an alternate flight for an additional 15K.
The airline and the Sastasafar Agent Ms. Lakshmi both confirmed that the full sum of INR 36705 will be refunded, which we denied and requested.
Instead, they issued a refund of INR 31495, and when questioned about the partial refund, they disclosed that they had subtracted convenience fees and taxes.
Why should we pay a convenience fee when we did not use the services and we did not request a cancellation?
Should we pay a convenience fee for the inconvenience of the last-minute cancellation, the inability to find tickets, the double fees, and the suffering, pain, and teasing we had to endure?
Mr. Ankit, the manager at the travel agency, was extremely impolite and unwilling to listen.
We would like a complete refund because we would have gladly paid the convenience fees plus tax if we had used the service.
Poor overall customer service and a fraudulent travel agency.
