27th March – I applied for my elife transfer to Dubai from Mushrif Mall Branch. They checked their system and said the account will be transferred but will not be able to provide TV connection, only Landline and Internet Connection will be done because my building is supported by DU cables. I agreed to their terms and accepted to transfer my account to Dubai. Assuring me 7 days transfer.

27th March – Within minutes after the request my Landline, TV and Internet connection was disconnected.

29th March – I moved to Dubai.

3rd April – I was told by the customer care of etisalat that this transfer request cannot be completed and I must apply for new connection.

6th April – I applied for new connection under request number [protected].

10th April – The request was accepted and date of istallation was confirmed for 16th Morning and I was told Du staff will visit first and then Etisalat staff on the same do the connection.

16th April – The staff from Du visited for connection adjustments and was completed. Same day Etisalat staff called and said they are waiting for Du to send them the confirmation for the task completion and will then do the connection same day.

17th April – I called the same Etisalat staff and requested for update, he said the appointment date is missed and he will have to wait until Etisalat sets another installation date.

18th or 19th April – I called Etisalat customer care and they confirmed installation date to be 25th April.

24th April – I called Etisalat customer care and they said they cannot confirm tomorrow’s installation as they have not yet received the confirmation from Du.

24th April – I called Du customer care and requested for why the work has not been done yet, they checked in their system and said the work was already completed on 16th April when the Du staff first visited. And nothing has been pending from them.

My question – What should I do to get things done? Is it my responsibility to make calls and BEG them for status and request to complete their task? Am I working for Etisalat, I ain’t getting any discount when the bill is generated?
