Travel Triangle
I booked Leh Ladakh trip in 2019 for a travel during 2020 May through Travel Triangle website and the travel agent was Lehladakhjourney. The cost of the travel was 1,20,000.
Due to Covid Lockdown during May 2020, I had to postpone the trip and it was postponed to 2021. In 2021, I again planned for the travel during May 2021. The travel agent (Bhawna from Lehladakhjourney) mentioned that due to cost escalation i had to pay 1,40,500 for the same trip.
I paid the difference and booked the trip. Again due to Covid second wave, I could not travel and the agent allowed me to postpone the trip till September 2022. Again in 2022 in March I reached out to the travel agent to book the travel during May 2022.
But this time the travel agent mentioned the cost escalation as the reason and quoted 1,75,000 for the same trip and I had to pay extra 30,000. I was not ready for that high cost escalation, so wanted to see if there was anyway or any other option where the travel cost can come down.
With back and forth chats and phone calls, we could not arrive at a proper negotiated price. I asked the travel agent if they can postpone the trip to 2023 instead so that a better pricing can work but they said it is not possible beyond September 2022.
I wanted to cancel the trip instead and reached out to Travel Triangle and the travel agent to figure out the cancellation charges but Travel triangle person is telling me that my trip is non-refundable.
I have attached the invoice i got as part of the trip and it mentions 50% refund if I cancel before 30 days but now they are not responding. I am not convinced that this is the right thing, so wanted to raise a complaint against this matter.
